Characters I relate to. I don't take kinning too seriously. It's just a way for people who don't know me (probably you, reading this!) to understand how I am. Stronger kins are underlined.
:All Is Full Of Love (Funkstörung Exclusive mix) - BjörkTo-Heart
I kin her mostly because of the fact that she's a robot (a character simply being a robot or a dog is a reason you'll see a lot on this page), but also because of her eagerness to help and learn. Being a robot, she is already at a disadvantage with socializing, and I relate to that as well. I find my habit of only speaking when necessary (a trait I personally assign to robots) has apparently greatly hindered my social abilities.
However, despite the fact that she's a robot, she kind of sucks at her job. She's clumsy and doesn't really know how to clean efficiently. There's something deeply relatable about that to me - being created (born in my sense I guess) for one job, made with all the right parts for it, but somehow still failing.
Demon Slayer
She's here because I find her hopeless romantic attitude to be relatable... to a degree. I wouldn't say I fall in love with every man I see, but I think her fawning over the men is what's alike me. My best friend told me that the way I love the people I love is, paraphrasing, "something he wishes he had".
She is also quite naïve, similarly to me.
Mob Psycho 100
I've been kinassigned this little goober by basically everyone that knows me and knows him, including myself. It's entirely Mob's quiet and shy demeanor, and how he doesn't express much. It isnt exactly because he "hides" it - that's just how he is. And I relate strongly.
However, I think the 100% emotion part of him isn't really accurate to myself. I don't keep my feelings in, intentionally or not, so the idea of "exploding" out of something from rage or sadness doesn't describe me accurately.
I can also say I relate to his attempts to "see the good" in people. Despite being aware that Reigen is taking advantage of his psychic powers and that he's a complete scam, Mob still spends time with him and thinks he is a good person, also willingly working for far below the minimum wage.
Helltaker
I don't relate to her past experiences of being taken advantage of at all, and though I don't separate that part of her character from her, I separate it from the reason I kin her. The reason I kin her is because of her, once again lol, absolutely shot social skills. She's basically been conditioned to think every interaction is just to be used, and though it's for different reasons, I say I relate.
Suggesting something simple that technically doesn't have any gain for the other party, like hanging out like normal people, is foreign to her. That's the biggest reason I kin her.
Haikyuu!!
Though a simple kin assign by my best friend to have more matching kins, there are legitimate reasons I agree to kin him. Normally, Haikyuu being a series I don't really like (sorry sam), I would have denied it. But I was given legtimate reasons... he's stupid, stubborn, and loves drinking milk. And I consider those to be completely reasonable and accurate.
Sanrio
Once again, another kinassign here simply to match. Once again, I agree with it for reasons that were given to me that I think are fair.
However, the biggest reason she's here is definitely because Sam kins Hello Kitty and, being Kitty's twin sister, wanted me to kin Mimmy. But, she differs from Kitty in ways that make her alike me. She's shy, quiet, and likes sewing (kitty likes baking).
One detail about her that is definitely inaccurate is how she is apparently better at baking than Kitty. Absolutely not. As much as I love to, I'm a terrible baker and cook - everything I put on a stove burns.
Love Live!
She's shy and sweet, she cares for her friends (especially Rin, who I have kinassigned to Sam for multiple reasons). She also loves rice, and as someone who once ate two cups of it per day for a week... I also love rice.
She's also apaprently chubby - though not really visible on her character art in official Love Live illustrations... for obvious yet terribly unfortunate reasons. I relate to her for this as well.. but perhaps chubby is a bit of a stretch for me.
Serial Experiments Lain
Yes, yes. If you weren't expecting her here after looking at the theme my website has, you're either lying or don't know who she is.
I relate to her feelings of derealization and general insanity. Also, her terrible, terrible social skills - she literally has zero friends and in the game, she struggles with this fact, feeling left out and lonely. I also had literally zero friends, though in high school.
I mostly find myself relating to the game counterpart than the anime. In the anime, the wired and the wired Lain are much more prominent, but in the game, Lain is mostly painted to be an extremely troubled young girl with issues at home who has extreme difficulty with anything that isnt computers. I'm not particularly skilled with computers (used a template for this website) nor do I have trouble at home, but I can relate to the parts of her that struggle with her inability to even focus on anything that doesn't revolve around computers - something akin to savant syndrome, though I think anyone with a brain would just say she has autism.
Other than that, in the games, she's a generally well-natured girl who ends up going absolutely insane and... doing some very "not nice" things to herself, in the name of "entering the next world".
Talentless Nana
Michiru was assigned to me by someone very dear to me. The reason he gave me was because of this panel, where it describes her as being "dog-like"... figures.
