My pets. I love my pets.
I can't include many pictures, so the ones featured have been specially chosen.
Daisy
2013-2023
Daisy is my beloved dog...! She was a sweet little girl (meant literally! she didn't even reach our knees!) and the only thing wrong she ever did in her life was bark a little too loud. But that was just because she was so excited to see us!!! According to mysterious stories... her name is Daisy because when we adopted her, she was so happy to be free that she ran outside and started playing in the flowers. I'm not sure how true that story is though, because I don't think it's safe to let just recently-adopted animals out on their own without a leash on. I choose to believe it regardless.
Many sources say she was born the same year I was (2005), which would have made her 18 (technically 17, her birthday is in december) when she died (march). When we adoped her she had already had a litter of puppies so there was no way she was young... she was also reported to have been a rescue after a hurricaine and theres NO way a super young puppy is surviving a hurricaine all on its own. Her age was really starting to show in her later years though... I suspect she was very close to going deaf. Everyone tried to claim she could hear but you could have snuck up behind her and scared her without even much effort... Her eyes were pretty good though, for her age. Only slight fogging - she probably had cataracts or something but not total blindness.
Unfortunately, she has died, from complications due to old age and medical bills :(.
Here are some pictures of her ^_^ they're really small sorry
Liam
2023-?
Liam is my beloved cat... I didn't want him at first and it's honestly a miracle that he was ever adopted by us. When Daisy died, I said I didn't want a pet for another year, and my sister agreed with me. We both were so distraught over it we didn't think we had it in us to spend time with any other animal for a long time. However, my parents were very admanat that we get a new pet - specifically a cat, as my dad had wanted a cat for a very long time. But one day we decided to go to the shelter anyway, and even though going to the shelter was already an unlikely choice for us to agree to, we were already setting our eyes on different cats - we were stuck between an older black cat named Zelda and this orange cat named Buttercup. Right up to the real adoption point - just before my mom signed the paper and agreed to adopting Buttercup, my sister came around and said "actually, there's this really sweet cat named Liam, he was so playful and friendly I think we should adopt him!" and he ended up coming home that same day. We even came to the sheter the day before and met a cat named Daisy - insane coincidence! - but we were still unsure because we didn't want to adopt a cat with the same name as our dead dog. Liam really won against all odds!
He's still very playful and super attached to my sister. Maybe he knows she's the only reason he ended up coming home with us. He's always crawling into someone's bed for the night, and starts running around wanting to play whenever anyone comes home.
